“ I was visiting Monterey and saw that this was the most popular ice cream spot in town. Most of the other stores on the street were closing up but there was a big crowd here for ice cream. That's when I knew I was in the right place. I've done some research prior and The bee's knees was the flavor to go with. Then I wanted to try some of the more interesting flavors. The first time I went there was a sweet potato flavor, a pomegranate one, and then also a beet flavor too. Lots of very unique flavors. The team was nice enough to let me try a few. This made it tough because I didn't know which ones to ultimately get. I end up getting a three scoop and a cone bowl. They are also able to split the scoops but you are getting a little bit less but more variety. The team that was working here is very hospitable they told me there was ice water in the back corner utensils right there at the counter. This is definitely the place to go for ice cream ”
“ The ultimate sweet tooth fix! I was craving some ice cream and found this place here on Yelp. I opted for one scoop of their best seller, the bees, knees, and a scoop of waffles and syrup ice cream. On top I have them smother marshmallow fluff, then toast it. It was so delicious. The ice cream is creamy and the texture is inside. Each scoop were crunchy from their respective fillings. If you were in the area, then I recommend this spot for ice cream. ”
“ this ice cream spot was packed each time we stopped by and it seems to be super popular amongst locals and tourists! we wanted to get the 6 scoop sampler at first but apparently they stop selling that an hour before closing. we unfortunately were 4 minutes too late :( nobody told us this and it's not made known anywhere so here it is, for anybody who is looking i ended up ordering a coffee waffle flavor and my friend got the bees knees. I liked the bees knees the most because of the crunchy honey dalgona but the base of the ice cream was a little sweet for me. My coffee waffle ice cream had good coffee flavor but the waffle bits were soggy which didn't compliment the ice cream that well, in my opinion. the interior is big but seating wise, there was a little counter for people to sit and eat ice cream. the outside also had some tables but it was too cold for us to do that ”
“ Amazing ice cream! Even on a cold day it was the right decision to come here. The flavors were really incredible and I love the indoor/outdoor spaces to enjoy your sweet treat! ”
“ The bees knees ice cream was a great contrast of textures with the crunchy honeycomb candy. I also really enjoyed the passionfruit mango sorbet, which was extremely tart but in a good way! The line was pretty long on a Friday night, we waited around 20 minutes. The interior seating was clean and they also had an outdoor patio. One thing to note is that they stop serving the tasting sampler one hour before closing. ”
“ The Bee's Knee is so yummy. It tastes like vanilla ice infused with honey, and they add honeycomb candy in it as well. They don't offer samples here, but the staff said if you don't like the flavor you got, they can switch it out for you. There's limited seating indoor, but there are plenty of seats on the patio. ”
“ Ice cream is delicious- clean local ingredients. I was very impressed with all the flavors and the quality because you could really taste every ingredient. I randomly stumbled upon this spot walking just through downtown Monterey and I'm glad I did. They have 3 different sizes- makes you feel like Goldilocks and the 3 bears lol: mini, baby, and regular. They don't allow samples but if you don't like a flavor they'll switch it out. It is cashless unless you have exact change but cards mostly. They have water on the counter available to drink and a few seats inside. The Bees Knees- wowww filled with honey and honeycomb and it was so sweet and gooey and good. The blondie coffee was filled crunchy pieces of cookie and espresso beans and wowww if you're a coffee lover I highly recommend, and lastly I tried milk and cookies which was creamy and milkly filled with soft cookies spread through. I appreciated getting small tastes of each ones and how they put spoons in each baby flavor I ordered. All yummy! ”
“ WOW. Just Wow. A simple local ice cream shop with a small selection of flavors, but BOY do they do those flavors SO WELL!!! That Bees Knees ice cream was just....unreal. I can see why it's their signature flavor!!! We got this with the Milk & Cookies, which tasted exactly how it sounded, in the best way. I love when milk flavored desserts are so...creamy and fragrant, and this was exactly that. As someone who is extremely noncommittal to flavors, I don't like ice cream shops that don't offer samples but the policy here is that if you don't like your flavor, they will exchange it free of charge - which I love! (I think Wanderlust does it right - each customer gets a limit of 3 samples). ANYWAYS - amazing ice cream shop. Clean interior, and even a small patio with outdoor seating. Street parking seems to be the only thing available here, but we didn't have too tough of a time. Anytime I come back to the Monterey area, I'm definitely swinging by this place again! ”
“ Love this place - it's a must whenever we visit Monterey. Street parking usually isn't too bad, especially if you are willing to walk a few blocks. The line is out the door always, so just prepare yourself for a bit of a wait. They offer some outdoor seating and some standing room inside the cute shop. All of the flavors I've had here are good- good flavor and variety. The one I keep coming back to though is the Bee's Knees. It's literally honey perfection. I love to order the tasting - for $15 you get 6 mini scoops so you can try multiple flavors. ”
“ Place was packed around 8pm on a Tuesday night and rightfully so. The ice cream here is so damn good! I got a peanut butter flavored one that was insanely good. My partner got a pistachio-flavored ice cream and it was good, but not as good as mine lolol. I didn't love that you can't try different flavors here however. I haven't been to an ice cream place in a long time where they didn't let you at least try the flavors. ”
